The man
arrested by the police in connection with the killing of the Abuakwa North MP,
Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu, has reportedly confessed to committing the crime.
A source
at the Regional Police Command told Joy News the suspect whose identity is
being protected for now confessed to police interrogators he stabbed the MP.
Three
mobile phones were retrieve, two of them confirmed to belong to the slain MP.
The third
phone, the source said, is password protected.
The
suspect was picked up by the police on Thursday. He is currently at the
regional police headquarters being questioned. Two other persons were picked up
in connection with killing.

names are yet to be known.

Danquah, was gruesomely murdered at dawn on Tuesday February 9 at his home at
Shiashie in Accra. Police investigations showed he suffered two stab wounds,
one to his rib, the other to his abdomen.
The wife
of the MP was said to be in another room when the incident occurred.
Five
people including a security man, a driver and some others at the residence were
picked up by the police to help with investigations.
The NPP
had indicated that it suspected foul play in the murder.
